18-19. June. Rebuilt engine, transmission, and differentials of the Series II.
19.June. Motorbike trip to Kwasadala and first river crossing for Francisco and Antonio!
20.June. Spent the day with Mramba repairing and fabricating the upholstery for the Series II. Got several locals to play soccer with us!
21. June. Studying for SATs and soccer in the morning. Fundi work on the Series II in the afternoon.
22.June. More locals join our soccer training!
23. June. Fredi and Francisco have discussions about directions and driving speed. Too fast, Francisco?
24. June. Lunch in the bush by potje pots, one for chicken and one for beef.
25.June. Maasai villagers greeted us while we fixed a flat tire.
26. June. Motorbike ride to Lake Ambussel. This is a seasonal lake used by Maasai to graze their cattle during the month of May. Maasai migrate to that area when their is plenty of water and grass. It took us 8 hours of riding, one crash and one puncture to get there. Antonio was soon patched up, but the KTM 525 would have nothing more of the heat. Fredi and friends to the rescue!
